World’s Most Delicous Chili
There was a chili cook-off* at my place today and I’m proud to say that, not only did my chili win the competition, it was unanimously declared the “World’s Most Delicious”.
So that I can remember how I made it, here are the details:
• 1 Package (1.5 lbs.) Trader Joe’s Pollo Asada (that’s Spanish for delicious chicken)
• 1 16 oz. jar Pace Chunky Salsa, Hot
• 1 14.5 oz. can S&W Petite-Cut Tomatoes w/ onions and garlic
• 1 15 oz. can Black Beans, drained
• 1 15 oz. can Great Northern Beans, drained
Place chicken at the bottom of a crock pot, dump all the other ingedients on top of it, set the temperature to ‘Low’ and cover. Watch five hours of NCAA basketball, stirring the chili at each halftime and game-end. After the five hours, you should be able to pull the chicken apart in to bite-sized pieces. After about seven hours the chili should be ready to shovel in to your gullet.
* Mine was the only entry in the cook-off, and I was the only judge. However, this doesn’t mean that the chili isn’t the World’s Most Delicious.
