A Typical Backpackers’ Room

Don’t let all the pretty views fool you: I am not traveling in luxury. This picture is a good example of the dorm rooms I’ve been staying in. They usually sleep 4-8 people (coed), in bunk beds (and I *despise* getting a top bunk), with a shared (sometimes coed) bathroom that is usually far away from the room, down a long, cold hallway. The upside is that they only cost about $20 a night, leaving me lots more money to spend on Tuis, Speights and Steinlagers. And earplugs.
