Four Mile Beach in Port Douglas

Port Douglas was recently voted the best vacation destination by Aussies, as it has a beautful beach and marina, and is close to both the Great Barrier Reef and the tropical rainforest in Cape Tribulation. It was nice enough, but a little touristy and a tad too “posh” for we backpackers. Also, it was always give me a sour taste in my mouth as the place where my memory card was stolen. Boo. Anyway, the beach was nice, and is a little empty in this picture beacause it was about 7am – I got up early to get the hell out of town.
