Not everything in Coober Pedy was ugly. Whilst there, we stopped in at a kangaroo sanctuary, where they raise orphaned kangaroos. Most of the kangaroos are there because their mom was killed by a car and someone saved the joey by removing it from the mom’s pouch and then brought it in to the sanctuary. They were insanely cute, and were all leg when you saw them out of their cloth pouches.
