Believe it or not, I actually recorded several takes of this (yes, I know, I need to work on the sound, the shakes, the acting, the actor…), and this one was done AFTER I got a haircut at this place because I felt like I had to – after several takes, the owner came out and scolded me for videoing without his permission (at least I think that’s what he said).

It was probably one if the strangest haircuts I’ve ever gotten. Not because of the haircut, which was great, but the clean-up. First came an aggressive head massage that included some forehead slaps with the back of his hand. Then he pulls out what I think is a hair dryer, but is actually a massaging device. It looked (and felt like) a circular sander with a rubber pad attached and was not at all relaxing when applied to my head or shoulders. When he was done, I said “Well, wow, that was interesting. We certainly don’t do it like that at home”. We laughed. I tipped him generously.
