Pro tip: Charge you phone’s battery the night before you leave from Darwin on a three day 4WD camping safari to Kakadu & Litchfield National Parks in the Northwest Territory of Australia. Otherwise, you might try to charge it the morning that you leave and then forget it at the hostel when the truck picks you up. This will then render you unable to take capture such things as:

  • A boat trip down crocodile-infested rivers
  • Crocodiles swimming up to your boat and them jumping out of the water at meat hanging from the boat
  • Swooping birds-of-prey feeding on hand-thrown chunks of meat
  • Thousands-year-old aboriginal rock paintings
  • Heaps of jungle-enclosed waterfall swimming holes in the middle of the bush
  • Videos from behind these waterfalls whilst standing and looking out back through them
  • Brilliantly colored bird-life
  • Unbrilliantly colored campground facilities
  • Cheap, hungry backpackers gorging themselves on all-you-can-eat meals
  • Hot, full backpackers washing their food down with cold XXXX Summer Lager
  • Aussie-infested plunge pool swimming
  • Nutso-cliff-jumper-infested swimming holes
  • Action photos of your Spanish, Canadian, Aussie, English & American travel-mates

But, you’re an experience traveler who always has everything under control, so you would never forget your battery like this, would you? If you did, all that you’d be able to post would be a tree in a park overlooking the ocean (where a US ship was sunk by the Japanese in WWII) in Darwin. How boring that would be.
