I had a battery-operated clock on the wall, and it was just too tick-tocky loud all the time. So I cut the cover off an ancient iPad case, nailed it to the wall, jammed an old iPad into it, and then corded it. Instant silent clock, and one that I can change the face of when I inevitably get bored of this one.
It’s easy & hacky & stupid, of course, but it makes me feel somewhat creative-adjacent. And is the kind of thing that I hope a I do lots more of now that I’m professionally underutilized.
