I really didn’t do much research before coming to Japan, and really didn’t have many things that were “must see” for me. I just wanted to come here & kinda live it. So as I’m traveling around, I end up visiting a lot of things that the books, the sites, the people say I have to see because they’re historical, or amazing, or famous.
The Glico man in Osaka is the latter (lattest?) — I guess I’ve maybe seen it before in a movie or something? Anyway, it turned out to be kinda cool, as it’s right in the heart of the bright, loud, & crowded part of Osaka, so there’s a huge buzz & energy in the maze of streets around it.

Of course most of the people were just taking pictures of the Glico man, thus perpetuating it being famous, but I was one of them! A local, if you will.
