This is my MacBook Air. I bought it about year ago in preparation for post-LiveSafe life, and it’s been my constant companion since. I carried it with me through Japan, France, Iceland, and even across the Pyrenees & Spain, adding precious kilos to the weight I was carrying, burdening me with worry about it getting wet, damaged, or stolen.

It successfully made it through those journeys unscathed. It, however, could not handle the humdrum of everyday life back here in the States: Yesterday I knocked a deliciously filtered, cold, freshly-poured, full glass of water directly into the keyboard. If I had tried to plan it out & aim, I couldn’t have poured it more directly into danger. It was so dramatically bad that I spent a few of the precious first seconds laughing at what I’d done instead of immediately drying it off.
