I’m a huge believer that pretty much all technology has been an immense overall benefit to society, even accounting for the downsides it sometimes brings. Maybe you’ll agree with me more if you realize that “technology” = “tools”.

So, to be current, I really intended my recommendation today to be the manifesto that Andreessen just released, but it’s too long for me to fully read, process, and recommend yet — maybe I won’t agree with some/most/all of it (I take this job seriously!)

However, this podcast episode is a good appetizer for the screed, so it’s worth a listen even if you don’t want to dive into his new essay with me. Note: The a16z podcast is a must if you care about tech.
