Podcasting is a great way to consume history, and NPR’s Throughline is an exceptional one. I don’t have strong feelings for or against Halloween, buts it’s very cool to see how we’ve piecemealed together all of our little traditions for it here. After looking at some of the online pictures of carved turnips, I’m a little sad we lost that tradition, though.
