We all have Visa gift cards lying around with unknown values, and that always end up being like $3.34 and $2.52, etc. Not enough value to buy anything of note, and it’s too hard to purchase things by combining different cards. So this “hack” is an easy way to using up all the value in those cards.

1- Find the value of the card. All cards will have a URL printed on them where you can look up the value, eg. https://balance.vanillagift.com/#/

2- Click the Amazon reload link above

3- Fill in the exact $ amount of the card in the “Other” field in the “Amount” section at the top right

4- Click the orange “Buy Now” button

5- Click the blue “Change” link at the right side of the “Payment method” section

6- Click the blue “Add a credit or debit card” link at the bottom of the “Your credit and debit cards” section

7- Fill in the Visa gift card details in the pop-up and click the orange “Add your card” button

8- Click the orange “Use this payment method” button on the right

9- Find & select your home address as the card address

10- Complete the purchase

You now have a gift card balance that you can continue to add other cards to, and apply to any Amazon purchase.
