You always hear that folks who have a mystery medical issues feel so relieved when the specific ailment they have is identified, even though nothing has really changed except their knowledge. That’s what this article does to me. I feel heard. It even offers a solution for it. Sure it’s CBT, so won’t be instant, but I can do the work. I feel empowered.
It’s also interesting that the reason, and “cure”, for this is almost directly related to habit formation — it’s caused by triggers and habit stacking. Maybe there’s something to this habit tracking stuff….
