You might think you know what’s around you in your neighborhood, but you really don’t. And you certainly don’t know much about the things you do know about. This web app is a great way to change this, and it does it in a simple way: Take the location of every wikipedia entry, and plot each of them on a map.
From the whole Earth perspective, this is obviously overwhelming. But when you narrow it to your field of reference, your ‘hood, it becomes supremely interesting. Maps!
