I feel like this is one of those stories you don’t have to be convinced to read — the title & subject alone sell it. Two fun facts related to article:

  1. When it comes to continents, there is no Central America. It’s just part of North America.
  2. There are no roads connecting North & South America, not even the famous Pan-American Highway. The Darien Gap in southern Panama & northern Columbia is the barrier to cars crossing, and a deadly journey for people migrating. I learned this back in the day when some buddies & I were thinking of driving to South America.
