This does a good job of detailing all the logic & cycles built into how nations deal with inflation. There’s clearly some bias –Econ is a form of applied politics, so of course that bleeds into the story– but not enough to distract from the learnings.

I was an Economics major in college, not because I loved Econ, but because it was a good major if you don’t yet know what you want to be when you grow up. So, I probably learned back then why some inflation is good. I definitely didn’t remember, though, as I’ve many times in the past few inflationary years asked “why do we need any?”

So, now I know. Again. But not sure I’m convinced (and I’m also still not sure what I want to be when I grow up…)
