Final Tour

My plan for when I finally launch Drink•Eat•Walk DC is to have three different tours. I’ve known two of them for awhile:

1- Walk Dupont Circle & Adams Morgan → This will be a classic walking food tour, with an emphasis on the food, drink, and histories of theses communities, and the people that have built & live in them

2- Hike Rock Creek Park & Mount Pleasant → The focus of this one is some real hiking, but with a picnic in the middle, and a happy hour at the end. I’m hoping this one does well — I think I’ll love doing it, and want to offer more like it.

I’ve struggled coming up with the third one, though. I want it to be different than the other two, so I can then gauge the interest for each type. I’ll then expand to offer more tours & dates for the most popular type.

With that in mind, I’ve settled on my third one:

3- Crawl U and 14th Streets Secret Cocktail Bars & Dives → This one will be much more focused on the bars & drinks. I want to avoid a full-on bar crawl, and I think mixing in some hidden cocktail bars will help ensure it doesn’t just attract bros looking for a drunk-fest. These are the neighborhoods I live in (I’m right on the border) and there really are some great places of each type here. I’m looking forward to showing them to people AND bringing in some business to the bars.
