Hot Pots

For some reason I’m pretty proud that I never went to the world famous Blue Lagoon the first time I visited Iceland. I instead just like going to the local pools & hot springs, if for nothing else than they’re much, much cheaper.

So my goal is to avoid going there this time as well. What do you get for cheaper?

I admit that entrance & hot pots (what they call hot tubs here!) look pretty crappy, but the views at this one outside Höfn were beautiful, the water was perfectly warm, there was nobody there, and it was atmospheric & raining the whole time. So it was totally worth the $14 entrance fee.
